China’s rising star, Wei Yi, beat his countryman, Bu Xiangzhi, with a slow, methodical buildup of his forces that eventually crashed through.

Wei Yi cruised through a knockout tournament in China, and this was perhaps the most critical game on his way to victory. Bu had been playing excellently as well — and he almost outplayed the chinese super talent for a bit in this game. But then when things heated up, Bu couldn’t keep the tension, and White took every chance offered to him to produce a brilliancy.
