Oyuncu bilgileri
Dmitry Andreikin is a Russian-born chess grandmaster who currently represents FIDE and entered April 2026 as world No. 26 with a 2710 classical rating. He built his early reputation through a string of major youth results, winning the World Junior Championship in 2010, then breaking fully into elite chess by becoming a two-time Russian Champion and a finalist at the 2013 FIDE World Cup. Andreikin followed that with victory in the 2014 Tashkent FIDE Grand Prix, one of the strongest tournament wins of his career. His peak classical rating reached 2743 in 2016, and he remained a durable top-level competitor across classical, rapid, and blitz. A notable part of his 2025 season was a successful return to classical chess after a long break, picking up 15 rating points in the Turkish Super League and climbing back above 2700. Even now, his profile remains dangerous: strong preparation, tactical alertness, and an ability to handle sharp positions without overextending.
Oyun tarzı
Andreikin’s style is resourceful, compact, and dangerous when the game turns concrete. He does not need flashy openings to create winning chances; many of his best results come from well-prepared structures where he gradually improves piece activity and then strikes quickly once the position loosens. His strongest classical wins show a player who calculates sharply but usually keeps enough positional control to avoid drifting into chaos. That balance has helped him stay relevant for a long time, especially in mixed-format elite competition.
