Oyuncu bilgileri
Hikaru Nakamura is an American chess grandmaster and one of the most recognizable players of the modern era. On the March and April 2026 FIDE lists he stands at world No. 2 in classical chess with a 2810 rating. A five-time U.S. Champion, Nakamura has combined elite over-the-board longevity with exceptional strength in rapid, blitz, and online competition. His 2022 Fischer Random World Championship title added a major international crown to a résumé that already included top finishes in the Candidates cycle, Olympiad team success with the United States, and a long-standing reputation as one of the most dangerous practical players in faster time controls. His peak classical rating of 2816, reached in October 2025, underlines that his place near the very top is still current.
Oyun tarzı
Nakamura’s style is dynamic, practical, and deeply competitive under time pressure. His strength in rapid, blitz, and online formats is not just a side note to his classical career; it is a core part of his identity as a player. Even in classical chess, he often aims for positions where speed of calculation, resourcefulness, and practical decision-making matter as much as memorized theory.
