棋手详情

Pentala Harikrishna is an Indian chess grandmaster and one of the most durable elite players India has produced. He became a grandmaster in 2001 as the youngest Indian to do so at the time, went on to win the 2004 World Junior Championship, and later added major senior titles including the 2011 Asian Individual Championship. Harikrishna crossed 2700 in 2013 and reached his peak classical rating of 2770 in December 2016, which lifted him into the world top 10. His later career has been defined by longevity and adaptability: he remained a serious force in open tournaments, team events, and world-championship-cycle competitions, while also contributing to India’s 2024 Olympiad gold-medal team. Even in 2025, he continued to produce high-level results, including one of the most memorable attacking wins of the FIDE World Cup.

Indian chess grandmaster, World Junior Champion, and former world top-10 player.

对局风格

Harikrishna’s style is controlled, technically clean, and stronger in practical positions than many people assume. He is often associated with stable structures and sound opening choices, but his best games show that he can attack with real force when the position justifies it. That combination — structural discipline plus tactical readiness — is a major reason he has stayed relevant for so long at the highest level.

精彩对局

  • 2004
    vs Xu Jun
    FIDE World Championship, Round 1
Harikrishna’s first-round win over Xu Jun was one of the earliest major victories of his senior career. It showed that his transition from top junior to world-level professional was already underway.
  • 2013
    vs Daniel Hausrath
    Biel MTO Masters, Final Round
Harikrishna won the last-round game that secured the Biel Masters title outright. It remains one of the clearest tournament-clinching results of his mature career.
  • 2025
    vs Daniel Dardha
FIDE World Cup, Round 3, Game 1
Harikrishna dismantled Dardha in just 25 moves to score the first win of the round. It stands out as one of his sharpest recent classical performances in a major knockout event.
  • 2025
    vs Arseniy Nesterov
FIDE World Cup, Round 2, Game 2
This is one of the freshest signature games on his card. Harikrishna uncorked a stunning early queen sacrifice and produced one of the most talked-about attacking games of the 2025 World Cup.

开局库

Harikrishna’s repertoire is classical in structure but flexible in execution. With White, he repeatedly returns to Najdorf battlegrounds, Réti / King’s Indian Attack systems, and Ruy Lopez Berlin structures, while also handling broader King’s Indian / East Indian positions with confidence. With Black, his recurring choices include Closed Catalan structures, the Berlin Defense, broader 1...e5 king’s-pawn systems, and the Queen’s Indian Defense.
