The Official World Chess Championship Set
This is the only chess set used in the World Chess Championship cycle. Approved by FIDE, it’s the official set played with by the world’s top grandmasters during the game’s most high-stakes matches.
Designed by Pentagram, the legendary design studio, this set is the work of architect and passionate chess player Daniel Weil. Weil, in collaboration with Magnus Carlsen, Vladimir Kramnik, and other chess greats, crafted a set that blends tradition with modern sophistication. It’s a piece of chess history—and it’s built for serious players.
Crafted for Champions
Every piece is handmade from premium boxwood, triple-weighted for the perfect feel on the board. The 3.75-inch King stands tall, while extra Queens ensure you're always prepared for those game-changing endgame moments.
The board, made from a luxurious mix of ebony, maple, and acacia, is equally impressive—solid, substantial, and weighing 4.5 kilograms. The iconic hexagon logo, inlaid on both sides, marks it as the official World Chess Championship board.
