Pro subscribers gain access to comprehensive game insights rivaling elite coaching tools

World Chess has unveiled Analytics, a powerful new feature exclusively for Pro subscribers that transforms how players understand and improve their game. Think of it as an Apple Watch for your chess—constantly tracking, analyzing, and revealing patterns in your play that would otherwise remain invisible.

While other platforms offer statistics, Analytics goes significantly deeper, providing a level of detail and design sophistication that delivers genuinely actionable insights. This isn't just numbers on a screen—it's a comprehensive performance dashboard built to help you identify weaknesses, capitalize on strengths, and track your improvement over time.

What Analytics Reveals

The feature aggregates data across all your games on worldchess.com, presenting insights through intuitive visualizations that make complex information immediately digestible. At its core, Analytics tracks three fundamental dimensions of your chess journey: results, accuracy, and openings.

Game Results by Month offers a clear view of your performance trajectory. The stacked visualization breaks down victories, draws, and defeats month by month, letting you spot trends at a glance. A surge in wins following focused training? It'll show. A rough patch during a busy work period? That's visible too. This longitudinal view transforms isolated games into a meaningful narrative of your chess development.

Average Accuracy by Month tracks perhaps the most telling metric in modern chess analysis. Rather than fixating on wins and losses—which can be influenced by opponent strength and time pressure—accuracy measures how closely your moves align with engine-recommended play. Watching your accuracy trend upward over months provides concrete evidence that your chess understanding is genuinely deepening.

Opening Repertoire Intelligence

Where Analytics truly distinguishes itself is in opening analysis. The feature breaks down your performance by specific opening variations—separately for White and Black—showing not just which openings you play most frequently, but crucially, how well you perform in each.

Game Results by Openings reveals your win/draw/loss ratios for every opening in your repertoire. Discovering that your Caro-Kann yields a 90% win rate while your Sicilian struggles at 30%? That's information that should reshape your preparation. The visualization presents this data clearly, using ECO codes alongside opening names so both casual players and serious students can navigate the insights.

Accuracy by Openings adds another dimension. You might win frequently with a particular opening simply because you've faced weaker opponents in those games. Accuracy cuts through this noise, showing whether you're actually playing well in your chosen systems. An opening where you score points despite low accuracy suggests luck or opponent errors; one where high accuracy correlates with wins indicates genuine understanding.

Flexible Filtering

Analytics adapts to how you want to examine your play. Filter by time period—all time, last 365 days, or last 30 days—to focus on recent form or long-term patterns. Filter by rating system to see how your FIDE Online Arena and World Chess ratings diverge or align. Separate your performance by time control, from Bullet through Blitz, Rapid, Classic, and Daily, because the player you are in a three-minute game may differ dramatically from your classical self.

The White/Black filter proves particularly valuable, letting you diagnose whether color-specific issues affect your results. Many players perform significantly better with one color—Analytics makes this asymmetry visible and quantifiable.

Design That Serves Understanding

Other platforms provide statistics, but presentation matters. Analytics employs clean, purposeful visualizations that surface insights without requiring users to wrestle with cluttered interfaces or ambiguous charts. Bar charts stack intuitively. Color coding remains consistent. Information hierarchy guides the eye to what matters most.

This design philosophy reflects World Chess's broader commitment to making chess more accessible without sacrificing depth. The same approach that informs our broadcasts—finding the balance between expert analysis and newcomer accessibility—shapes how Analytics presents complex performance data.
